We have a birthday boy among us! Our longtime member, Hugh Barnett, will be celebrating his 105th trip around the sun this month! To honor his service as part of the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, Richard Cook arranged for a billboard greeting to honor Hugh starting at midnight Sunday, August 1 thru Sunday, August 8 in the Solway area on the way to Oak Ridge. This was a great salute our friend and fellow Rotarian Hugh Barnett. Check out this image of a teenage blonde haired Hugh as an Eagle Scout, shown in the Rose Garden kneeling just to the left of President Herbert Hoover, after a long bus ride from Mississippi. Hugh is a hero in more ways than one – we love you Hugh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
